Legends never stop. That certainly seems to be the M.O. for the celebrated and “retired” Captain Bouncer Smith. I called him quasi-retired and he laughed. I think because he knows, as with any truly great artist, doing what he does on his level isn’t just what you do for work… deep down it’s who you are. Lately he’s been fishing in ways he never has before and also just got finished writing his fourth book, “I’m Not Done Yet.” I had the honor and pleasure to sit back and have a very pleasurable conversation, over a glass of Papa’s Pilar, with one of the nicest guys I’ve ever had to chance to speak with.
