from Listen Then Speak · host Jahmaal Marshall

Caitlin Donovan is one of New York City’s leading burnout experts and acupuncturists, host of “Fried – The Burnout Podcast,” and author of the book "The Bouncebackability Factor: End Burnout, Gain Resilience, and Change the World". Her master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine enables Caitlin to combine Eastern wisdom with her natural practicality. After performing more than 25,000 acupuncture treatments, Caitlin added 1:1 coaching, corporate workshops, and keynotes for companies such as PTC and Lululemon – all with a focus on burnout. Cait has been featured on podcasts and online magazines such as "Forbes," “Elephant Journal,” “Thrive Global," and “Addicted 2 Success," as well as quoted in Oprah Magazine. Caitlin and her husband spent 12 years living in Europe but now make their home in New Jersey. When Caitlin is not speaking or coaching on burnout, you can find her and her husband hiking, walking with Flora (their white fluffy dog), or cross-country skiing. In this conversation, we dig into the power of mindset and perspective. Sometimes, the hurdles we face in life can be moved out of the way, but because of society, our upbringing, and our environments, we mistakenly keep them there. Cait shares insights into how we get lost in our coping mechanisms and how we can shift into a healthier way of being. We also discuss the “zone of proximal development” and how to break the bad habit of people pleasing, how to maintain balance when achieving our goals, and how Cait overcame burnout in her own life.  What’s Inside:Why we keep hurdles in our life even if we can move themHow to break the bad habit of people pleasingHow Cait overcame burnout Mentioned In This Episode:Listen Then Speak PodcastBook - The Bouncebackability Factor: End Burnout, Gain Resilience, and Change the WorldFRIED: The Burnout PodcastCait Donovan on LinkedInCait Donovan on Instagram Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
