Bound for a Thousand Years

from Postmillennialism on SermonAudio · host Martin Nish

Rev 20:1-3 - Bound for a Thousand Years I. What is the Nature of the Kingdom? II. When is Satan Bound? III. How Long is Satan Bound? IV. Why is Satan Bound? Differing millennial views do not justify deep divisions between believers. We can cheerfully serve together despite differences. We are called to love one another in Christ with grace as those by grace bought by blood of Christ. But it is an important issue, and Revelation 20 is pivotal for the different views. So we intend to slowly walk through Revelation 20 in four parts. 1) Rev 20:1-3—Binding of Satan for 1000 Years 2) Rev 20:4-6—Reigning of Saints w/Christ for 1000 Years 3) Rev 20:7-10—Final Battle of Gog and Magog after 1000 Years 4) Rev 20:11-15—Final Great White Throne Judgment This sermon looks at Rev 20:1-3 to determine what the 1000 years and the binding of Satan represent, charitably comparing to other views, and then give practical application and exhortation.
