Bourbon Turntable - The Deadbeat Cousins (2023-09-27)

This show is not about Cousin Eddie from the Vacation movies.  It is about a band out of the Phoenix area that is as hot as the desert sun and their music is the gift that keeps on giving year round (side note: they have some really good Christmas songs, too).The Deadbeat Cousins are Matt (vocals), Jaren (guitar), Jason (drums) and Matt (bass).  We talk with them about their personal beginnings in music and based on their responses we are left to wonder out loud if Drew isn't a long-lost cousin himself.  Everything about this band comes together really well.   Each band member is excellent in their roles and they work hard to make sure that it all fits within the song itself.  The Deadbeat Cousins isn't a showplace for any one band mate to show off.  It is about the music and the song comes first.  And the songs...well, they are fantastic.  Be sure to check them out on Spotify after listening to our show with them.  We bridge the distance between Kentucky and Arizona with whiskey, too.  Drew and Kevin share some Knob Creek (Kentucky bourbon) and Whiskey Del Bac (Arizona whiskey) with the Cousins.  Please subscribe, like, share or comment.  We always love to hear from you.
