Olly & Marlon host Bruno Amable, the co-author with Stefano Palombarini of The Last Neoliberal: Macron and the Origins of France's Political Crisis. Bruno's a political economist and a Professor at the University of Geneva, so this guys knows his stuff. This is Olly's favorite book, so we really get into it. Marlon hasn't read it but we have a good discussion about what the bourgeois bloc was, what it is, what alliances it's pursuing, its relationship to racism, and the way it dissimulates - to itself and others.
