Bowlan’s Reliever Rise with Phillies | Kansas City Royals News

Jonathan Bowlan made a triumphant return to Kauffman Stadium as a visitor, marking his transition from Royals to Phillies after eight seasons. Once viewed as a starter, Bowlan thrived in his new relief role, posting a 3.86 ERA and showcasing improved command and strikeouts. Grateful for his Royals foundation, he’s now excelling in Philly with elite metrics — a 30.7% K-rate, 2.57 xERA, and elite walk control — even tossing a scoreless inning against his former team with a 98 mph fastball. Bowlan’s focus? Becoming the best version of himself for the Phillies while honoring his journey.
