Boxes

First track I made when I got my first TB-303. Just 303, TR-505 for drums and some reverb/delay on an alesis quadraverb. Performed live on a crap Roland m240 line mixer. no EQ! Boxes is a stripped-back, minimal acid techno track built around a tightly coiled, 303-style bassline and a rigid, looping rhythmic framework. The arrangement relies on repetition and subtle modulation rather than overt progression, letting the acid line breathe and evolve as tension builds slowly over time. Raw, mechanical, and utilitarian, this is a functional underground cut designed for layering, pacing, and extended mixing rather than peak-time drama.
