Boy Meets World: S1E1: Pilot

Hey Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of The World According To Cory: An Unofficial Boy Meets World Podcast. Today, I'm kicking off this new podcast by covering S1E1: Pilot, which aired on September 24, 1993. In this episode Cory is caught listening to the Phillies game in class while Feeny is trying to teach the class about love. Eric decides to take his girlfriend on their first date to the Phillies game instead of Cory, so Cory decides to live in his tree house. I really enjoyed this Pilot episode because we already see the relationship of Cory and Feeny off to a great start and how Cory will eventually learn to take his lessons to heart. I also loved Cory's relationships with his parents and siblings, they might squabble and have their disagreements like typical siblings but ultimately they love each other. I loved how Amy is such a sweet Mom to Cory, what with giving him dinner when he decides to move into his treehouse but she can be a fun Mom too when she was using that Nintendo gun on him in his room. I love how Alan helps Cory see reason or tries to when Eric and Cory have a disagreement over the Phillies tickets that Eric bought when he decides to take a girl out to the game instead of Cory. Join me in February when I cover S1E4: Cory's Alternative Friends, which aired on October 15, 1993. In this episode Shawn and Cory get split up from doing a project together, making Shawn work with Minkus and Cory with Topanga. Cory overhears girls making fun of his hair and decides to change it. I wanted to cover this episode in February because we all know Cory and Topanga share their first kiss at the end and this is just the start of good things to follow for them.
