BPTMR #018: Begotten (1989)

This has been one of the hardest movies to review collectively from all of us at the Boundless PodTrap.Begotten is not the worst thing out there, and it is not the hardest thing to digest by subject matter, but the "language" this uses to convey its art has merits in creativity, it is just not our cup of tea. We like to give the director/writer E. Elias Merhige his due for taking risks and touching on the retelling of the Genesis story. The guy makes wicked awesome music videos but full length was hard, hence the 1 star BPT Rating. Many forums rave this movie and gleam so much from it which is pretty neat but thats probably the best part about this movie for some of us here at the BPT.
