Brace Saga is an artist from Baltimore, MD with a dope new project entitled #RetroFuture EP, which is available now on iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play Music. On the project, which he describes as an "over-the-top Hood Musical," Brace is able to showcase his lyrical and production skills, making music that is both accessible and thought provoking. Coming from Baltimore, to joining the military and traveling the world, to recording #RetroFuture in Florida, Brace brings a wealth of life experience and interesting perspectives to his music and to the conversation. Our wide-ranging conversation with Brace Saga gets deep into music and life in general. Topics include: - The recording process and inspiration for #RetroFuture - What it's like coming up in Baltimore and doing music - The state of our community and our people as a whole - Learning through failure and defining "success" - How "people are looking to politicians for entertainment and people are looking to entertainers for the truth" There are more gems here than can be listed, so listen to the episode!
