from Sober Shares - Alcoholics Anonymous addiction recovery interviews · host Michael Q

Brad SHARES 15 years of sobriety with us and explains what it was like to grow up in Buffalo, New York. We cover his childhood which was filled with some bullying events by kids and adults in his neighborhood. As Brad got older his anger and fear grew to uncomfortable levels. Brads physical gifts allowed him to attend a Division 1 school on a Football scholarship and he hoped that the new geographical location would allow him to create a new life. Brad was using Drugs and Alcohol in a destructive manner to get a break from the daily pressures of college life. His drug use ramped up during his football playing days in college. After his playing career was over he moved deeper into the bitter moras of addiction and crime. Depression and living the low life became to much for him to handle. Brad went to several addiction treatment centers and was intervened upon by his family in friends. Brad was sent to Texas to be a patient in a long term treatment center for almost 11 months. Brad was able to get a fresh start on his sobriety in the treatment center and was able to take the first few steps towards Alcoholics Anonymous. We cover his entire length of sobriety and what has happened during the last 15+ years. Its a very long episode that is packed with so much recovery and truth that it must be heard. Please enjoy this episode and listen to the whole thing. It is packed with solid AA recovery.Website: www.SoberShares.comEmail:  [email protected] link to Donate: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=MD6DFY5RUYT5A
