Peace can feel like a private thing, something we try to hold onto when life gets loud. But there’s another side of peace that shows up in public, in relationships, and in conflict. Today we talk about “outer peace” and why the gospel doesn’t stop at calming our hearts. It moves us outward with a purpose. We read from 2 Corinthians 5:18–20 and sit with a huge idea: God reconciles us to himself through Christ, then entrusts us with the ministry and message of reconciliation. Another word for reconciliation is peace, and that means we’re not just recipients of peace we’re carriers of it. We also look at Galatians 6:1 and the call to restore someone with gentleness while keeping a close watch on our own hearts, because it’s easy to get pulled into the same temptation we’re trying to address. Then we bring it down to street level with a painfully relatable moment: impatience in traffic, a split-second decision, and the realization that a church bumper sticker turns your driving into a billboard. It’s funny until it’s not, because it exposes how often we miss chances to reflect Jesus when we’re stressed, rushed, or stuck behind someone who slows us down. We end with a clear challenge: pick at least one conflict this week and step into it with boldness, truth, and a gentle spirit that aims for restoration.
