This past season was a trying one for the NBA. It started out spectacular with a great double overtime game featuring Kevin Durant’s debut as a Rocket against the defending Champion Thunder with NBC broadcasting the NBA for the first time in over two decades. Not only did NBC take the reigns of the NBA back this season, but Amazon Prime was inserted as a viable third broadcasting partner. The regular season now only saw the rise of a new Media Rights Deal, but it saw the rise of two young stars in Cade Cunningham of the Detroit Pistons and Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs. Reigning MVP Shai Gilgious Alexander took home the crown for the second consecutive time. James Harden was dealt to Cleveland at the trade deadline while LeBron James spent the second half of the season as the No. 3 option on the Lakers and KD was busy burning bridges with his new Rocket teammates with the help of his burner phone.And as great of a story as we got in the playoffs, the NBA Season has been met with scrutiny. Flopping has become a talking point, as has Tanking. The lottery is now completely reformed.
