Dave Franklin is Atlanta’s “best kept secret”- a renowned singer-songwriter joins the show

Dave Franklin is Atlanta’s “best kept secret”- a renowned singer-songwriter and former member of the legendary Atlanta rock band, hollyfaith. Dave Franklin has toured and recorded with Drivin' n' Cryin', Kristen Hall, Billy Pilgrim, and opened for the likes of Johnny & June Carter Cash, Sinead O'Conner, Jewel, and Midnight Oil. Franklin is considered Atlanta’s most under-rated, best singer and player by musicians, critics, and fans who are “in the know". Dave Franklin’s first recording, the critically acclaimed “Bones and All”, was released in 1991 on Sister Ruby Records and was proclaimed by Eddie Owen (founder of Eddie’s Attic and curator of The Red Clay Theatre) as "the best album to ever come out of Atlanta”. His records, “Gutterbound For Glory” and “Lost In The Middle Of The Long Way Home” are underground folk gems and this year Franklin's brand new album “Green Grass Hurricanes” is receiving rave reviews…  and Dave Franklin is a life-long Atlanta Braves Fan - so we are honored to have him join us on BRAVES COUNTRY!

Lewis and Clarke, for exploring the river Missouri, and the best communication from that to the Pacific Ocean, has had all the success which could be expected. They have traced the Missouri nearly to its source; descended the Columbia to the Pacific Ocean, ascertained with accuracy the Geography, of that interesting communication across the continent; learned the character of the country, its commerce and inhabitants; and it is but justice to say that Messrs. Lewis and Clarke, and their brave companions, have, by this arduous service, deserved well of their country." This volume is the 1840 edition with woodcut images and an Indian vocabulary.
