Brazen robbers hold up Gucci store; what growing trend means for potential hires

The burglars had a gun, and before they left, they robbed the high-end store and drove away. Eyewitness News reporter N.J. Burkett has more on the story. Meanwhile, employers are looking for new ways to find the right person for their job and sometimes it means giving a potential candidate homework. It is a growing trend. Experts at Glassdoor say more and more companies are now assigning homework to potential hires. The company says mentions of take-home assignments are up 121% compared to before the pandemic. Sometimes the assignments are as simple as answering supplemental questions, but other assignments require a lot more time and effort. Experts say these work sample tests are great for employers to determine if a candidate is a good fit for the role, but often they end up putting a lot of pressure on candidates to do work that may not even get them the job.
