Brazil's Black Consciousness: History, Heritage, and Inequality

Brazil's complex relationship with its African heritage is explored, highlighting the significant contributions of African culture to Brazilian identity in areas like religion, music, and art. Despite this rich legacy, systemic racism and socioeconomic inequality persist, as evidenced by disproportionate incarceration rates and poverty among Black Brazilians.
