Breaking Free From People Pleasing🩷

from Your Girl Yaz · host Yaz Hilsdon

In this episode, Yaz shares with us the damage people pleasing can have. People pleasing is putting other people’s needs above your own and sometimes, going against your values to keep others happy. The impact it can have in our lives, especially as female entrepreneurs running online businesses is so much greater than you think and can often lead to burn out or leave you feeling like you’re not good enough. It can be really difficult to keep yourself happy whilst putting yourself last and showing up for everyone else above yourself. Having clear boundaries with yourself, in your life, your relationships in business or the work place are really important, especially as women and the societal pressures that can come with our gender as well as looking after ourselves so we truly understand our value and what we have to offer as a person. Human beings fear rejection and just want to be loved, cared for and accepted. This can lead to us undervaluing ourselves deep down. Rejection is redirection and often times when things don’t work out, something better is just around the corner for you. Trust that things will work out for you!
