Breaking Into a New Career Opportunity - Ep #7

Camille is looking for guidance to see if she is on the right path.  She is looking to break into something new from what she is currently doing.Since she isn’t doing it now, some may see her as unqualified.  Camille needs to figure out how to present herself in the way she wants to be seen.  It can look like a little out of the box networking.  It may be Camille calling in to set an appointment with HR directors with ways she can support them.  Once she lands the meeting, she may shift the conversation a little with focus on what she really wants to do.  Going out and landing the appointments or conversations can be the trickiest part since you never know how the person is going to respond.  Some people see a no as a no while others see a no as a not yet.  I challenge anyone listening to hear the no as a not yet.  It gives you an opportunity to circle back and follow up.  Use mediation to bring down the walls that you are running into.Dont forget to  subscribe to our podcast and share it with your friends and family.
