Breaking the Vicious Cycle of Depression

from Victim 2 Victor: Healing Trauma & Building Real Love · host Anu

In this podcast, I will be discussing the causes, symptoms and consequences of depression.  In my years when I was depressed as a result of the abuse and trauma that I incurred from a young age, I found just saying that I was 'depressed' made people feel uncomfortable and ashamed. This only made my condition worse and I was on the brink of suicide due to feelings of loneliness and feeling like I had no support. With the COVID pandemic and more people in isolation, depression rates are higher than ever and is now the number one mental health problem. Rates of depression and suicide are continually rising and increasingly striking younger people. Twenty years ago, depression in children was almost unknown, which tells us that we are dealing with a culturally transmitted phenomenon which is a result of changing environmental conditions that have led to a dramatic rise in people’s expectations from life. It is time to raise awareness of this increasing mental health issue and to help support the future of our next generation. If you are suffering from depression or know somebody who is, then I would highly recommend that you seek professional help from either your doctor or a registered counsellor.  If you would like to take your self development to the next level then please sign up to my FREE 12 week self discovery plan here: https://victim2victor.net/free-12-week-self-discovery-plan/More information about me can be found via links here: https://linktr.ee/healing.journeyyIf you are interested in my book 'Victim 2 Victor', it is now available on audio: Amazon: amzn.to/37jFt2WThe transcript for this talk can be found here: https://victim2victor.net/breaking-the-vicious-cycle-of-depression-2/Send us Fan MailConnect with me: Take the diagnostic tool kit to stop repeating patterns in your relationships: https://victim2victor.net/the-chemistry-trap/Book a call with me: http://calendly.com/v2vhealingjourneyInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/victim2victor_anuverma/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/anuvermav2vAccess all resources: https://linktr.ee/healing.journeyy
