Breaking through paradigms with Darrel Williams. #53

from The Power of Design

In today's episode, I talked to an architect that I admire very much. His name is Darrel Williams. Darrel is the founding partner and owner of Neighboring Concepts. An architectural design firm in Charlotte, North Carolina that is committed to transforming communities through thoughtful and sustainable urban planning as well as innovative and responsible design solutions. I was very inspired by Darrel's story – being the only African American architect in multiple firms. Darrel experienced what it's like to be overlooked, but his passion and confidence to believe in himself took him through an exciting and inspiring journey of growth and progress. Darrel is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and created a legacy of design excellence to improve his community for years to come.
