Breaking to Reinvent Yourself (Hitting Rock Bottom Is a Blessing)

from Trying Not to Care · host Ashley Corbo

At the end of 2021, while I was working at my old job, I was struggling with my mental health, personal issues, and paying bills. I felt so lost in life and was so unhappy with my situation. Up until this point, I made excuses for why I couldn’t leave my job and pursue posting on social media full time. Excuses like, “What if I don’t make money? What if I can’t pay my bills? What if I embarrass myself? What if it doesn’t work out?” In December of 2021, it finally hit me that I didn’t have much to lose. Either I stay at my job that makes me unhappy or I leave it and find something that does. I hit rock bottom, and although it was scary, it forced and motivated me to work hard and build an entirely new life. I was able to pursue my dreams fearlessly because I had nothing to lose. In today’s episode, I share my experience with leaving my job and why I think sometimes hitting rock bottom is a blessing in disguise. If you’ve been in a funk, struggling mentally, or feel like you’ve hit rock bottom, listen to this episode as motivation. SOCIALS AND LINKSInstagram: Ashley's Instagram | Trying Not to Care InstagramTikTok: Ashley's TikTok | Trying Not to Care TikTokYoutube: Subscribe hereRevolve, Amazon Storefront and more: LTXIf you want to ask me questions, need advice or have any episode ideas, submit here: TNTC Community Google FormTNTC COMMUNITY GROUPCHAT: https://app.geneva.com/invite/4939298b-477b-4d4b-a32a-0b82431273bfBusiness Inquiries - [email protected]
