Breakout — SMCC softball coach Shea Johnson and the 2026 Lady Bears, live at the Fit Life Sports Plex

The Southwest Lady Bears softball team has been "one pitcher short" for a few years now, and head coach Shea Johnson is more than pleased to have the biggest pitching rotation in his career at SMCC, and the bats to back it up. He joins The Corner Blitz with three hotshot sophomores — Corin Talbot (La.,), Allie Ladnier (Ala.) and Kate Clements (North Pike). Benji and Adam go over the Southwest Mississippi softball situation briefly and devote the hour to the Lady Bears, who seem poised to make a run in the MACCC.
