BREAKOUT: Tennessee Football SPRING SURPRISES – Dylan Lewis, Tre Poteat TRANSFORM Secondary Depth

Tennessee Volunteers Football fans are buzzing after surprising spring breakout performances from Tre Poteet, Tim Merritt, Dylan Lewis, and Xavier Gilliam. Will these emerging stars reshape the Vols’ secondary and defensive line in the 2026 season? Host Eric Cain spotlights how the infusion of fresh talent, including transfer additions T.J. Metcalf, Dejuan Lane, and Qua Moss, has immediately upgraded the depth and competition across the roster. Josh Ward joins to dissect the true quarterback competition between George MacIntyre and Faizon Brandon, questioning whether the offense can match last year's success with a new signal caller. The conversation covers offensive line improvements with Nic Moore and Anthony Ogmuro, defensive optimism anchored by Daevin Hobbs, and transfer portal moves for Rick Barnes’ basketball team. With potential game-changers emerging and historic surprises recalled—from Jalin Hyatt to Cedric Tillman—Vol fans must prepare for another unpredictable season.   Catch Locked on Vols, wherever you find your podcasts. ▶️https://linktr.ee/cainer Subscribe to the Locked on Vols EveryDayer Club ▶️ https://lockedonvols.supercast.com/ Neyland Press Corps Substack ▶️ https://neylandpress.substack.com/ For your next listen, check out the Locked On College Football podcast!
