According to The American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, regardless of race or ethnicity, and it is the second most common cause of death from cancer among white, black, Asian/Pacific Islander and American Indian/Alaska Native women.You may have had or are about to have a mastectomy, either because you've been diagnosed with breast cancer or are at very high risk of developing it in the future.
