In 2013 he began chatting online with Lewis Daynes, an 18-year-old who pretended to be a successful computer programmer and slowly gained Breck’s trust.Despite warnings from his mother, Breck agreed to meet Daynes at his flat in Essex on 17 February 2014. Shortly after arriving, Daynes murdered him. He was later arrested and sentenced to life in prison.After Breck’s death, his mother Lorraine Bednar created the Breck Foundation to educate young people about the dangers of online grooming and meeting strangers from the internet.Support the showThank you for listening.
