Bredefeld’s Action Hero Video & FDA Walks Back Cyclospora False Positive

Fresno County Supervisor Garry Bredefeld used his role as Board chairman to make public safety the theme of the upcoming State of the County event and helped create an action-movie-style promotional video featuring himself. The $7,000 chamber-funded production has drawn both praise for its creativity and criticism over its use of law-enforcement imagery and its focus on Bredefeld as the star.  The FDA has withdrawn its earlier claim that a Taylor Farms lettuce sample tested positive for Cyclospora, saying the test result was a false positive.
