Breton Tyner-Bryan is a multi award winning filmmaker, director, writer, actor, and choreographer based in New York City. She is also a classically trained ballet dancer and costume designer. Fun fact, Lauren first worked with Breton when she was a costume designer on a short film, Launch at Paradise, written and co-produced by previous guest Daniel Mitura. Her films have won over 100 awards, and we loved hearing about the process of making two of her films, Delusione and Invicta. Her acting credits include Manifest (Netflix), Gossip Girl (HBO), Billions (Showtime), Divorce (HBO), and The Knick alongside Clive Owen. Breton is a true multi-hyphenate and it was so inspiring to hear her story about creating her own work and learning so many aspects of filmmaking in the process, including editing, directing, writing, and costume design. Her thoughts on how she stays positive within the ups and downs of the industry have stayed with us since this conversation, and we know you’ll love listening as well.
