Brett Bell

from Ancestor Architects · host Behind the Whistle, LLC

We were honored to meet The Brett Bell while attending the Black Student Athlete Summit at the University of Texas at Austin in 2018. Ironically, Brett was on crutches from a college knee injury. Brett was gracious enough to share his time and story with two prying high school teachers from San Antonio during a networking social. We were thoroughly impressed then and are grateful for knowing that Brett Bell is a full time Longhorn. He is a breath of fresh air and soothing presence. During the 2019 season, we were pleasantly surprised outside of DKR Stadium to see one of our Brett Bell hustling to make an impact. He stopped for the photo we used for this episode. His official bio from UT is listed below, but our conversation with him will certainly shed light on just how awesome of a human being Brett Bell is: Brett Bell joined the Longhorn Foundation in December 2019. Prior to joining the Longhorn Foundation, Bell served Texas Development as a Leadership Annual Giving Fellow. He has also spent time working for Texas Christian University Athletics as a graduate assistant and the Big 12 Conference as a championships assistant. Originally from Flower Mound, Texas, Bell earned his bachelor’s in sport management from the University of North Texas where he was a member of the men’s basketball team. He received a master’s degree in higher educational leadership and administration from TCU in 2019. In his free time, Bell enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, watching sports and staying active.  Follow Brett on Twitter: @the_BBell
