Join us for a glimpse behind the scenes at Coffee Beanery, where every day brings new adventures. Today, we'll take you on a journey through the art of pour-over coffee brewing, discuss our upcoming Fourth of July sale, and share the excitement of our freshly launched Island Fudge coffee blend. First, let's dive into the world of pour-over coffee brewing. Picture the chaos of our inventory management in a massive 45,000-square-foot warehouse. It's that time of year when every single coffee-related item, from K-Cups to accessories, must be meticulously counted. If you call us and we don't answer promptly, it's likely because we're knee-deep in coffee beans, ensuring our inventory is spot-on. But there's more brewing than just inventory. We're gearing up for a spectacular Fourth of July weekend sale, starting on Friday (wink, wink). Get ready for amazing deals that will make your holiday celebrations even more special. In the midst of inventory madness, we received fantastic news: our Island Fudge coffee is now live and ready to dazzle your taste buds. Whether you're a decaf enthusiast or a fan of rich, creamy fudge flavors, this coffee blend promises to be your new favorite. We can't wait for you to savor the delectable experience it offers. Now, let's explore the captivating art of pour-over coffee brewing. Our conversation delved into the intricacies of this method, led by our resident expert, Logan. Manual brewing, as Logan explained, allows for precise control over water flow and ensures even extraction of coffee grounds. It enhances the total dissolved solids in your cup, where all the flavors and magic reside. Logan chose a Bodum pour-over device for this demonstration, a departure from his usual Khita waves or Haros. As we watched, we learned that the key to pour-over perfection is the ratio of coffee to water—1 gram of coffee to 17 grams of water. A scale is a must for precise measurements, and you can find affordable ones online. The process began with a bloom, where fresh coffee releases CO2 when in contact with water. After saturating the coffee grounds, Logan initiated a circular pour pattern, starting from the center and spiraling outward. This ensures even saturation and extraction. As the pour continued, Logan aimed to reach a total of 765 grams of water. The scale tracked his progress, adding a layer of precision to the brewing process. The result? A beautiful, aromatic brew that teased our senses. During the demonstration, we discussed the advantages of using paper filters over reusable ones. Paper filters tend to absorb oils, providing a cleaner cup, while preventing larger particles from escaping. On the other hand, reusable filters allow more oils and flavors to shine through, though they require regular cleaning. Our conversation then ventured into creative possibilities. We envisioned coffee flights, featuring a selection of diverse coffee profiles. Imagine trying four different coffee varieties, each showcasing unique taste notes or even single-origin coffees, highlighting the distinctive qualities of our blends. In conclusion, our day was a whirlwind of inventory preparation, upcoming sales excitement, and the artistry of pour-over coffee brewing. We invite you to join us on this journey, where coffee is not just a beverage but a way of life. Your feedback shapes our selections, and your support drives our commitment to providing the ultimate coffee experience. Thank you for being a part of the Coffee Beanery community, and stay tuned for more exciting updates. Here's to the art of brewing brilliance and the joy of sharing it with you!
