He explained that His suffering and rising fulfilled the Scriptures and commissioned them to preach repentance to all nations, granting them the Holy Spirit. Thomas, who was absent and skeptical, famously declared he would not believe without physical proof. A week later, Jesus appeared again specifically for Thomas, inviting him to touch His wounds. Thomas confessed Him as "My Lord and my God," prompting Jesus to bless all future believers who would believe without seeing.
