Caleesis talks about coming to Canada as a refugee from Afghanistan escaping from the Taliban, not speaking English, uneducated for five years as she went through refugee camps in four countries, but then going to ESL, high school, university and finally law school, articling and becoming a lawyer. Her background and struggles are beyond belief. But her resilience and determination are even more incredible. This woman's story will inspire many who have come to Canada as immigrants.
