Song of the Deep, the newest game from Insomniac Games in partnership with GameStop, is a passion project from Insomniac’s Chief Creative Officer, Brian Hastings. The game has a simple and compelling message: no matter who you are, you have the ability to overcome adversity when you don’t give up. Sterling Children’s Books is proud to be publishing the illustrated tie-in novel that tells the complete story of the game’s heroine, twelve-year-old Merryn. In the book, Merryn lives with her fisherman father in a cottage by the sea. Each day, her father braves the tumultuous waves and returns home in time for dinner. One stormy evening, he doesn’t come back. Merryn has a vision that he’s been dragged underwater by a terrifying sea creature, and he needs her help.
