Disgustin Poirier is back!!! And man did I have stuff to get to this week, first up everybody’s favourite Guardian journalist had the nerve to post another column and needless to say we had a few issues with it. Then we’re wishing death on Sophia, one of the world’s most advanced AIs, for getting ideas way above her station, and explaining what we’d do if we were stuck in a lift with her, Hitler, two viral stars and a gun with only two bullets. A real moral conundrum. We had time also to talk about legal culpability in a case from Germany where a man died after a black market castration, Nate Diaz’s cute new NFT bear, the best Whiskey bar in Vancouver and doing some body language analysis on a recent post from Conor McGregor. There’s podcast recommendations, movie marathon suggestions, trailer watchalongs and much more, including a list of my favourite short stories and anthology collections. Things come to a close as ever with the best segment in podcasting, Walloper Watch, featuring one of the most egregious, disgusting humans we’ve ever seen on LinkedIn trying to garner himself some pity, and more American knife and flashlight aficionados. Dedicated WW this week to a deep dive on the Gabby Petito (a young white lady who done went and got herself murdered in the name of starting a vlog. American, of course.) subreddit, where all of the world’s finest criminal minds have assembled. I’d say they’re days away from cracking it all wide open. Stay tuned after my sign off also for a bit of bonus content this week, a random twitter find that is easily the most ridiculous thing that’s ever been said on this pod. Peace. Love. Punkadelic.
