The priorities and themes of the 10th BRICS Summit, ranging from peacekeeping to collaboration around the 4th Industrial Revolution, were all touched on when the leaders of the 5 emerging economies - Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa - spoke in Sandton, Johannesburg yesterday. Each gave a short address, after which they left to attend to the signing of memorandums. In his closing remarks, South Africa's president Cyril Ramaphosa said following a proposal by his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, they have decided to deepen a 'people to people' component in BRICS.. In this special episode of Gateway Benjamin Moshatama discusses the outcomes of the summit with Sanusha Naidu Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Global Dialogue, and Nozipho Mbanjwa CEO of the organisation The Talent and one of the facilitators at the Summit:
