Sondra Segundo is a multidisciplinary artist and Haida language activist. She is a regalia maker, traditional and contemporary artist, author and illustrator of children's books, singer-songwriter, and keeper of ancestral songs. Sondra is the lead female vocalist of the Seattle-based tribal funk band, Khu’éex’, and sings/tells stories in the Tlingit and Haida languages. She also produces music with her husband, Eroc, and has released two albums, Díi Gudangáay uu Síigaay (I Can Feel the Ocean) and Sáandlaanaay (The First Light). ••• https://www.sondrasegundo.com/ ••• Esther Belin is the author of two poetry books and coeditor of ‘The Diné Reader: An Anthology of Navajo Literature’. Belin’s visual art combines a variety of disciplines and works to reframe the mythical primitivism often associated with indigenous cultures. She is a citizen of the Navajo Nation and a member of ‘Saad Bee Hózhǫ́’, a Diné Writers’ Collective. She teaches in the Native American and Indigenous studies department at Fort Lewis College.
