David toured professionally for eight years before becoming a coach and helping young players reach their dreams. Wetterich discussed the Clovernook Open's structure including entry fees, prizes, how players are selected as well as how people can attend, volunteer or become a tournament sponsor. His themes of “Have an open mind. Focus on the experience and Speak with love not kindness” shined through as he shared results from exciting past tournament finishes as well as an unbelievable story about personally achieving a hole-in-one on the same hole and same course as his father. His description of the intense raw emotion, pressure and focus required to be competitive in professional golf was eye opening.
