Some were kind, many were furious … and demanded a “man” officer. Besides dealing with crime issues, Debbie had to endure these personal attacks (I want a man officer!) from the “law abiding” citizens. · Adding to the danger, she responded to bar fights, domestic violence runs and bank robberies, etc … alone. NO partner & NO communication with dispatch … once she left her cruiser. · She worked hard to figure out self-control and courage-on-command, besides minimum self-defense choices that WORK.
