The Freedom One Ramp Can Provide: An Interview with 99 year old Navy Veteran, Llano BellON BRIDGING THE GAPHosted by David ColemanA few months back, Operation Ramp It Up installed a ramp at the home of 99 year old Navy and World War II Veteran, Llano Bell, who served on the USS Hamlin. The impact it made upon him, his family and his community was life changing. Llano’s daughter, Linda Lutts, shared “It is hard for us to keep him home anymore. He is constantly on the move and out and about. The ramp has truly been a blessing.” When Greg Schneider started Operation Ramp It Up, to help veterans, ALS patients and others with mobility issues achieve a sense of freedom, he started a movement of caring that has steadily gained momentum. Also on the interview was exceptional 8th grade Middle School student, Corey Scott Neuman, mature beyond his years, who helped build and install Llano's aluminum ramp.
