Bright & Black - Eicca Toppinen (2024)

Eicca is a Finnish cellist, songwriter and producer most know for being a founding member of symphonic metal band Apocalyptica. The band has released 9 albums and has sold millions of records across the world. His latest undertaking is being a composer and soloist for the orchestral metal project 'Bright & Black'. We spoke with Eicca about the Bright & Black album, the intricacies in writing for an orchestra, getting out of the way of a song, metal vs classical music, working on a new Apocalyptica album, finding a healthy work-life balance, and a lot more!
