Brilliantly Insane - ”Bringing Out The Dead”

from Cinema Degeneration · host Cinema Degeneration

We here at Cinema Degeneration are thrilled to be bringing you a show that we have had long in development. Welcome to the long gestating second episode of 'Brilliantly Insane'. A show that will be dedicated to the career and films of Nicolas Cage. One of the greatest living actors and eccentric individuals, his career has spanned 40 years and over 100 films credits and counting. We'll be covering a different movie or two from his expansive filmography in every episode. For Episode #2 we're talking about the bleak offering from 1999 "BRINGING OUT THE DEAD" directed by Martin Scorsese and which costars John Goodman, Tom Sizemore, Cliff Curtis, Patricia Arquette, and Ving Rhames.  It's a dark and haunting tale of an ambulance paramedic trying to cling to his waning sanity over the course of three long nights.  Join hosts and filmmakers Daniel Goad and Cameron Scott as they talk shop about one of their favorite iconic actors and one of his most memorable films.   "I'd always had nightmares, but now the ghosts didn't wait for me to sleep."
