7.10.2023, Kibbuz Beeri, 5 km von der Grenze zu Gaza entfernt. Als früh morgens der Raketenalarm aufheult, denkt sich die Kibbuz-Bewohnerin Yulie Ben-Ami nichts dabei. Raketen gehören beinahe zum Alltag in dieser Region. Doch kurz darauf erfährt sie, dass gleichzeitig auch Hamas-Kämpfer in den Kibbuz eingedrungen sind. Ein paar Straßenzüge von Yulie entfernt wohnen ihre Eltern. Von ihnen erfährt sie per WhatsApp, dass Terroristen in ihr Haus eingedrungen sind und Yulies Vater angeschossen wurde. Kurz darauf bricht der Kontakt zu den Eltern ab. Yulie fürchtet um das Leben der Beiden. Durch Fotos und Videos, die die Hamas in den Sozialen Medien postet, erfährt die junge Frau, dass ihre Eltern, zwei Deutsch-Israelis, entführt worden sind und in Gaza als Geiseln gefangen gehalten werden.
