Listen, you won't believe how many songs there are out there about rapping gifts. And that's not scary. But if you're into that kind of thing, just Google songs about rapping gifts. And you'll be excited.
But this guy is like a creative authority on modern living. That's his description. And he's got tips for all of life's occasions. And you get rapping.
And you get rapping is about to be an occasion in a lot of houses. Because today is a watch. Saturday Monday. I can't wait to know what this book is.
I need to log on and get some more damage. That's right. A lot of people watch shopping this week. I was gonna say some damage is doing it.
But there are skills and gifts to get and we got rapping. We do. So we need some tricks and hacks to help them get through this. Because some people love to rap.
Other people love it. I love to rap. I rap really well. But it is a chore.
Especially if you have a lot of different gifts. And in our family, it's things like the goal is to wrap everything separately. So you'll have more things open, which is more work. No, I do bags too.
But my preference is like the paper. But I do love a good gift bag as well. So let's talk about some hacks because these packages that we ordered from Thursday, Friday, today, they're all gonna be coming in soon. And I think one thing we need to do is pick the right time to wrap deals.
Now, we're trying to work around those that still have small kids. You know, after they go to bed, you've still got some, you know, awake time. Right. Yeah.
My kids are bigger than we do. I was gonna say, yeah, that's not a good strategy for me because night is not my time. No, I'm tired. I'd be more likely to wake up an hour early and rapping.
Yeah. Then I would to stay up an hour late. You're right. But we've got to pick the right time for you when you feel your best because if I was to come in and try to start rapping deals after work, that would be the time for me.
I gotcha. So you need to know when and designate that time for yourself. I mean, I've been known to tell them, okay, I'm rapping presence. I don't come in my room.
You know, I'll lock it or that kind of if they're old enough to understand, I don't be able to have packed up presence and taken them to their office and wrapped on their lunch hours. Oh my goodness. I know. I mean, I don't know.
I mean, I do what you got to do, right? Well, now I have your ship to me at the office because, you know, I have eyes and everybody's gonna know I still have eyes, especially if the package is gonna have a certain return address on it. That's right. But yeah, that's what I would do.
Pick the right time. You can also do it in badges. Don't feel like you got to sit and save it all and do it in one time because, you know, that's bad about this. My back hurts just thinking about this.
Everyone always have good intentions, but as stuff is ordered or purchased, go ahead. You know, you get a handful going and knock them out. Plus don't you love like it when presence up here under the tree, like it just all comes in there. But you've got to be disciplined.
Yeah. Like wrap them as they come in. But it's less stress, especially for those last minute people. I've already got stuff stacked up that I've had since July.
So I'm already, I'm already passed. You want this one. Yeah. Okay.
Well, a lot of people also do do it in a specific place and like set up like a wrapping station. Well, that way everything stays together and you don't have to, you know, chase down or you'll be able to save anything. Yeah. That's not true.
I mean, you know, it's really sad to be out of time, I mean, we have a lot of stuff that is worth doing. That's What it is. Yeah. It's really.
It's pretty perfect. It's like having a family-changing family. So basically those things are worth a take. Those are the two things.
You can never find them. You can never find them. You can never find them. You can, you can find them.
You need to have multiples. So that you can, you know, hopefully locate one of them when you're trying to do that. Now do you use the sticky gift tags. Yes, because they're the easiest thing.
And they're cute. I did a five foot go, too. That's true. So that's one thing you could maybe ease up on if it's stressful for you.
I'm, you know, he's up on that. Yeah. Well, it drives me nuts. You got out of the right pan because that stuff is slick.
Don't lie. You used to jump in and you're like, damn it. Oh, it's just awful. Yeah.
It's your tag looks so horrible. Yeah. So make sure you got the ball. So you got your package.
Look at all three of them. So pretty. And then you look at the name tag. Look what happened here.
Right. I think this says, Johnny. Yeah. Yeah.
You know, think back and growing up, we just get these plastic bags and how these bowls in. That were sticky as well. You know, I got a peel off back and stick on there. I was like, 50 in a bag.
Those things on a rimp is now that we think about. But it was easy. It was easy. And that's what we knew.
So keep your bowls simple, especially on packages that you're going to be taking right or mailing somewhere. You know, don't spend 20 minutes trying to make an elaborate bowl. You could have wrapped four packages while you're, you know, making an O. And so when we're talking about hacks, I'll tell you, I watch some YouTube videos last Christmas on Bo-Rapping.
And there are some really simple ways that you can make some really cute ones really quick. Yeah. So do something like that. And, and you know, there's just this one deal.
It's like a showstopper deal of Christmas, you know, it's the time on the boat. You don't have fun with that one. But don't do that on all of them. You're going to cost yourself too much time and energy.
That's true. OK, I got to ask you, you know, when you're cutting the paper and you end up with like one small little random piece, you keep it or do you go it away? I have a bag that has small pieces of paper in it. And I use that to wrap like if somebody's getting a watch, you know, something small.
Yeah. I try to keep a bag with smaller pieces in it. OK, I do the same thing. I don't do a bag, but that's a really great idea.
It's not on this list. Well, I mean, some kind of thing. So then OK, this is small. So I go directly to that and start looking for paper.
Yeah. And a lot of times, what's so fun about that? You got pieces of wrapping paper that you no longer have. So you wrap it in that.
It's different. You know, you use the same wrapping paper on all your gifts. I usually get coordinating writing paper. Like, yeah, I'll get like two or three that go together.
Oh, gosh, I do that. Yes, I'm just happy. But no, we pick out different, you know, like for each person. No, OK.
Each person has to have all different wrapping paper. So if you've already had some in the reindeer paper, you don't get any more in the reindeer paper. You're going to get some. So I'm giving hacks and I take too much time to decide.
It's like, oh, and then if you can't remember, I can't remember if Sarah's already had the reindeer paper. Here we go. Looking under the tree. Oh, I know.
It's there. You like sugar on a town? Yes. I just kind of pick it up and roll with it and make it work.
Yeah. Yeah. Oh, OK. They don't coordinate though.
They're just we all have our own way of doing things. Yes. We do. I do this too though.
I'm going to keep a trash bag beside me because you know, you got to throw some stuff away. Yeah. You got to keep it all the time. You know, the tape that sticks to itself.
You know, the little pieces that are too little to use. You know, I agree. We got to have a trash bag. I'll clean as I go for sure so we can get everything clean though.
So what do you do while you're wrapping? I mean, keep it board. Yes, girl. I'm going to be on Christmas.
You already know I'm going to be the Christmas music in or I'm going to have a Christmas movie on or both. I don't know. But I'm getting into the spirit. Oh, my goodness.
So yeah, you need something entertaining. It makes the time go back quicker. And you know, if you get more in the Christmas spirit by listening to the music, my mom, she does not want to rap without some Christmas music. I mean, it's like you've got to do it.
But if you can't stand, if you have enough of it in the stores and grocery, wherever you go. You go since like October 30, small audio book or some other kind of music or another movie or just catch up on something you haven't you ready to be in. You have to watch something or maybe you like it quiet. He said why did nobody's at home?
Oh, that could speak to me as well. You know, listen to the birds. Are the birds don't already don't sound. No, you never know this time of year.
I don't know whether it's going to be a pack of. But yeah, but also in addition, you can like make your festive drink, you know, hot chocolate. I was hoping we were to get some coffee or something. Yeah, I want to drink.
You know, I know what people like to drink, but yeah, I totally don't think of them. Something warm. Yeah, even if it's warm outside that you know, go ahead and just drink something warm because it's fast. I actually have a cold, festive dream.
Oh, there's a bajillion of those. Yeah, like cold coffee drinks you can make. Yeah. Well, look them up.
You know, buying you something neat to make something neat to make something neat. And drink that while you're fancy. That's a whole vibe to know. I'm saying you have to hold on.
I feel like I have to like, yeah, I've been doing this all wrong. So great. I'm going to wrap again. I'm going to wrap this up.
So what things we can do to keep being overwhelmed and I like this take something else off the list, like maybe not cook better than I. Oh, stand me up. Or don't clean up that night. That's a little longer than I.
I forget that laundry. You're going to wrap heels. So I'm flipping out with something. I'm saying I've got to get all of this done plus wrap these deals that came in today.
So I'm saying out because they can become a chore. Yeah. Let's be real. I have said that before.
I'm angry. I'm really excited to get. But I'm forced to wrap these and here I am and I'm just not feeling it. So that's why we have to.
Yeah. Yeah. I like that. So I've done this too.
Like bringing help one Christmas. I was down on my back and I couldn't lift. I mean, I really couldn't do anything except sit. So my mom came over and we like basically she more than we wrap all my gifts together.
We had the best time because we talked about the gifts and who they were for and why I picked that out and she does really good both. So I guess we're really good at here. We put on Christmas movie and we just had a really good time. And I know you and your mom share a very special tradition.
We do every single year. We have two wrapping parties. We wrap at my house and we kind of do the same thing. She sees what I got for the kids and what I got from my husband and we talk about everything.
And so we wrap it and then we do it at her house and she shows me what she got. So it's, you know, it's just a tradition. We wrapped twice two days, but one of these things we don't do. We should do it in batches and we save everything until the day.
And those are some long days and we're tired of Ian. You're smiling so good right now. I wouldn't feel anything for those days and that's a tradition that we have. But I love the idea of bringing in help to get this done because then it's not a chore.
If you bring somebody that you like talking to and visiting with, it doesn't seem so monotonous and another box to wrap. Well, you know, earlier this month we talked about like kind of four different. Well, have some of your friends over and have a good wrap for me. I'm going to be here.
Look, I'm going to be here. Like come over and have fun. Why not? One of those festive drink we were talking about.
Sometimes days like this though, become some of your favorites because there's not like you're not trying to do something. You're just hanging out. You know, so I say I say bringing all the help. I like it.
Now this is, you know, me not being genuine, but one of the tips is to use give bags for decorative boxes. And that's not something that I do. I'm not going to say with the bag. Yeah, no.
Now even the decorative boxes, I'm going to wrap them. Yeah. Yeah. If I have a decorative box, it's still going to be wrapped.
Right. And the give bags, they're kind of a last resort. Or I can't find a box for it or whatever. Then I'll put it in to get back.
It might sound a really good gift wrapper. And so that's kind of a chance to show off my skills. I got it from my mother, by the way, my mother wraps her big heels. I can totally see.
And so I aspire to be like her in that. Yeah. One final option. Maybe you're just out of time or you've got to ship something.
Yeah. A lot of online ordering will offer. Especially this time you've offered a rabbit and do it for free. So that is an option too, especially if it's not even coming to your house.
You may be shipping it. Yeah. You don't want to have them gift wrap it. That's good.
That's last minute. Well, I'm glad you're ready. Yeah. So I'm glad to have them here.
I'm glad you're ready. It's so important to get on because you've looked at your December calendar. You know, hey, this is going to get here on Christmas Eve. I need to get wrapped on it.
Or you may have some eyes at home. True. You know, that's an issue. If you don't get home until everybody else gets home.
That's why I have a small visit that's something that may tell the tale of what it is. And a lot of your local stores will wrap too. Like independently owned stores and they usually do a really good job. Yeah, they do.
So there's that option to just to save you a little time. But this was fun. Like I'm legit ready to go. I mean, it's time.
