Bringing Value To The Table

from Not Me, But You! · host Art Kester

Send us Fan MailWelcome to episode #66 of "Not Me, But You!" I hope that you have the opportunity during this week between Christmas and New Year's Day to both rejoice on your wins and to also reflect.  At this time of year, each year, I like to reflect on the past year and consider both my successes and my learning opportunities (AKA Failures!). But failure in business is often part of the pathway to ultimate success! Thank you for ALL of the listens, downloads, subscriptions, reviews, and shares. This podcast has now been downloaded in over 50 different countries and in over 300 different cities world wide! So thank you for that! I promise you that you already HAVE something of value to "bring to the table. " Believe in yourself. The first person you need to "Sell" on your dreams is yourself. And it takes courage to work on your dreams. It takes discipline and consistency. But it's absolutely worth it. And know that you DO have something of value to bring to the table, even before you get to the table! What are you doing each day/week/month to get closer to living your dreams? And while you are working on your dreams, of course, you also have to make sure that your monthly budget is right. Your monthly budget is nothing more than a math equation. We just need to make sure that the numbers in the equation work in your favor! There seems to be a lack of common sense in our day-to-day living. I would like to see people stand for something. Be brave and take a stand even if the position that you take is an uncomfortable one for you. If you are struggling, it means you are growing! Growth is a good thing for you and your business! I know it's popular lately to focus on what's happening in politics. But honestly, does focussing on politics make you any extra money? I understand FOLLOWING what happens in politics. But I don't allow focussing on politics to prevent me from making more money! So what I'm saying is that I LIMIT the amount of time I spend on political news. Use your internet connection to create something. If you share your "creations" with the world, then the universe finds ways to reward you! And give yourself permission to "be bad" at things when you first start. You don't need to be perfect or have the perfect plan BEFORE you begin. The MOST important thing is to SIMPLY BEGIN and then KEEP GOING! Here is the link to the YouTube video of a 10 year old boy who has made $50,000 on Ebay! His dad helps him create listings for products, but the boy finds the items to buy/sell! Amazing! The heart of an entrepreneur. If a 10 year old can do this, so can you! I'm not a financial advisor. This podcast is for education/entertainment purposes only. You will need to do your own research and accept responsibility for the results of any money you choose to invest. I love using Schwab.com to buy/sell stocks/ETF's/closed end funds/options. Schwab has a very user friendly app/website and their customer service is excellent. I can easily get to speak to a human being whenever I have questions.
