Steinn Gustafsson started his tech industry career in Norway back in 1992 as a part-time Technical Sales Engineer with Hewlett-Packard, before moving to the UK to pursue a degree in electronic engineering and embarking on a career in the semiconductor industry.Over the following ten years, he took on various engineering roles at different companies, including a 3-year stint at electronic design automation software giant, Cadence, where he honed his skills in ethernet and Bluetooth chip design.In 2003 he launched his own engineering consultancy working for telecoms, defence and engineering clients in the UK and Europe.Eight years later, in 2011, he relaunched his consultancy as Chevin Technology, adding cybersecurity chip design to his portfolio of services.And last year, in August 2024, Chevin Technology was selected to participate in the second cohort of the UK Government-sponsored ChipStart programme to fast-track the development and commercialisation of Chevin's silicon security solution.Hear more on BritChips: Steinn’s Story.
