In this episode our founder Nour Hassan speaks to one of Egypt’s most celebrated abstract expressionist painters Britt Boutros Ghali. Born in Norway, Britt has shown her artwork across Europe from Norway to France to Germany and Back - she started her career in the fashion industry modeling for fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle and Marie Claire in Paris. Britt moved to Egypt upon Marrying Raouf Boutros Ghali. In 1996 Britt was awarded the St Olav Order by King Haakon of Norway - the highest accolade to be given to an artist in Norway. She is well known for her vibrant, colorful and large pieces full of life. She has spent more than 40 years living and working in Egypt, she paints in her studio on a boat by the Nile. We talk about her career trajectory, finding discipline as an artist, being fearless and trusting destiny!
