Brittany Caffet- Two Hospital Inductions with Epidurals and an Unexpected Down Syndrome and AVSD Diagnosis

This episode features Brittany Caffet, from Warman, SK, who shares her two pregnancy and birth stories.  She was able to get pregnant pretty quickly with both of her children and had relatively smooth pregnancies but experienced more nausea with her second and prodromal contractions near the end.  She was 10 days overdue with her first, Elizabeth, and had more fear as she neared that birth with not knowing what to expect.  She didn't feel the same fear with her second, Henry, and had a very smooth birth but was surprised with an unexpected Down Syndrome diagnosis as well as a heart condition called AVSD.  Brittany shares the details of her experience navigating these challenges that her and her husband hadn't been prepared for.Support the show
