BRITTNI DE LA MORA | From Porn Star to Preaching the Gospel (Ep. 419)

In this episode, we welcome Brittni De La Mora to the show. She was a porn star for seven years and was seen as one of the most successful and sought-after porn actresses in the world during her career. She seemingly had it all: she was young, rich, and famous, but, as with many of the people inside of that industry, she was also miserable. She found herself in an endless cycle of shame, drug abuse, and suicide attempts. That was until Christ stepped in and saved her and delivered her from the sex industry. She and her husband now run Love Always Ministries which directly ministers to men and women in the sex industry and people trying to overcome addiction to porn, masturbation, and sex. She also has a book called A Call to Purity, which she co-wrote with her husband Richard, who is a pastor himself. Brittni and Richard also co-host a podcast and YouTube show called Let’s Talk Purity. In this interview, we discuss her chaotic upbringing which led her to the sex industry, the misconceptions that the public has about porn and the workers therein, the levels of violence and rape that occurs on porn sets, the high levels of human trafficking involved with sex workers, why she left the porn industry, how Christ revealed Himself to her, what it was like talking to her now-husband about her past life, how shame and depravity have fueled and not crushed her, how she is able to share the Gospel with women that are still stuck in “the life”, and much more.
