On the eve of March 8 we featured music performed and/or written by women. Featured were interviews with Bowen Island musician Kate Reid and various members of Wintermitts, a bilingual folk-pop Vancouver band. They (Wintermitts) did a lovely live session in the CiTR studios. Also featured this week was the recent Arhoolie compilation "Blues, Ballads, & Beyond", which is highly recommended for anyone with an interest in West Coast field recordings of blues and folk in the 1960's.Have a happy International Women's Day and thanks for [email protected]
