Some great stuff by two of the most lyrical voices in Jazz. Even though they hated each other they made some great music.Tenor saxophone master Stan Getz was replacing baritone saxophonist Gerry Mulligan as he had run afoul of the law and was jailed. Baker was in great form as well backed by Mulligan's rhythm section with Carson Smith on bass and the swinging Larry Bunker on drums. Recorded in L.A. at the legenday little club called "The Haig". The first and best meeting between Getz and Baker.
