from CiTR -- Folk Oasis · host CiTR & Discorder Magazine
January 2015 is rolling to an end; hope it's been a good month for all y'all. Tonight I dug into the vinyl vaults to feature Ry Cooder's soundtrack for the Wim Wenders film Paris, Texas. Singing by Harry Dean Stanton! I also cobbled together a musical trip across oceans to pay tribute to musicologist and collector of folk tunes Alan Lomax. He was born 100 years ago this week. Early in the show I had a chat with the lovely Miss Quincy, who has an upcoming show at the Imperial, and pop-up brunch at her home! (see rocknrollbushcook.com for details)All in all a fun two hours. Hope you enjoy it, and thanks so much for listening.cheers, [email protected]
